The last of the nuns left the building in 1988. It then stood empty for two years, after which a group of artists converted it into studios. Later, it was made into an official studio building, and the foundation was founded.
Between 2002 and 2004, the building was renovated extensively, after it had deteriorated and was declared unsafe by the municipality. The artists were relocated for that period, untill the newly renovated Het Wilde Weten was inaugurated again in August 2004. Since then, in bright new studios, with a changed group of 19 artists, a fresh start was made. Since august 2004, Het Wilde Weten has been an important and active player in the field of the visual arts, locally and (inter)nationally with its public programme and residency opportunity.

Mon, 21 Dec 2009 05:58:22 +0000 http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list Life Arts Center, 3485 University Ave, Riverside, CA 92501 Sun, 08 Dec 2013 06:26:00 +0000 http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list Live With Animals, 210 Kent Avenue (corner of Metropolitan), Brooklyn, NY 11211

Mon, 03 Oct 2011 18:05:04 +0000 http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list Los Angeles Modernism, Barker Hanger, 3021 Airport Avenue , Santa Monica, CA 90405
Features over 65 exhibitors of 20th century furniture, decorative and fine arts from across the U.S. and Europe
Thu, 21 Mar 2013 15:45:07 +0000 http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list http://www.artslant.com/no/Venues/list McCormick Tribune Plaza and Ice Rink, 201 E.
