Jack the Pelican Presents

Jack the Pelican is delighted to present an exhibition of thirteen artists working in a variety of media who disarm and seduce you with a strange blend of esoteric and innocent. We like laughing cavaliers, we like pirates (we like the boldness of their vanity), we like courtesans and geisha, we like bull fighters. These are highly mannerized individuals, fetishizing charm and style to say, "I don't care," right in the face of all the power they confront, "Aren't I just beautiful?"  Rather than challenge institutional structures, the artists in Curly Q sit down with it all and tickle it silly.
