Friars and Bacchae in Conflict is a live storytelling event wherein John P. Hogan will relate the story of a group of outgoing friars who, having been commissioned to travel to The New World in order to convert the native populations, find themselves instead abandoned on the shores of an island populated entirely by followers and priestesses of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and debauchery.  Not only must the friars attempt to sway an overpowering population of half-crazed and drunken nymphs from the “wrong path”, they must also contend with a strange and flamboyant high priest who may or may not be The Antichrist.  Be sure to witness this exhilarating spectacle firsthand, as it features singing, guitar-playing, utilitarian puppetry, and the bedazzling exertions of energetic storytelling.  There will also be refreshments!
