Award-winning Marin artists present ceramic sculpture, pottery, garden art, jewelry and mosaics for sale.
2008 Marin County Fair "Artist of the Year" Geraldine GaNun-Owens and fifteen additional ceramic artists (including numerous other award-winners) are offering their sculpture, pottery, garden art, jewelry and mosaics for sale on Saturday, November 15, 2008, between 11am and 4pm at the Terra Linda Ceramics Studio, 670 Del Ganado Road, in San Rafael. Delightful artwork by children ranging in age from 5 to 16 will be on display as well. Admission is free. Do your holiday shopping early, meet and talk to local artists, grab a complementary bite to eat and listen to the music of Mark Culbertson's Domincats Jazz Ensemble. A percentage of all sales will go to supporting the Terra Linda Ceramic Studio programs.
Susan Hontalas, an award-winning artist herself, has been teaching the Terra Linda Ceramic Artists classes and workshops for fourteen years. The artists range in age from 5 to 88 years. Award-winning artists include Tuppy Lawson, Melissa Woodburn, Esther Starke, Icka Cayard, Patricia Blau, Dove Govrin, Ed and Rita Cristman, David and Beth Hardesty, Margaret Bastian and Susan Hontalas.
To get to the sale, take the Freitas Parkway exit off of 101 in North San Rafael. Go west on Freitas Parkway about 2 miles and turn right on Del Ganado (at Scotty's Market). The center is on the right, 670 Del Ganado Road. The sale starts at 11a.m. and ends at 4p.m; admission is free. Complimentary refreshments.
