For more than fifty years, artist William Scott CBE RA (1913 -1989) was a key figure in European and American art and is considered one of the most influential British painters of the 20th century.
The exhibition Works on Paper (1953-1986) will feature a selection of Scott’s original drawings, textiles and paintings. In addition, there will be a set of 45 limited edition prints, which will be on sale exclusively at the exhibition. These will be prints of Last Blue Pear, one of Scott’s final works, which was painted after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Proceeds will be donated to The Alzheimer’s Society.
