> DESCRIPTION

ART from the ashes is proud to announce its first exhibition, artist reception and silent auction at Cisco Home Studio on November 1st, 2008. It is the first in what will be a series of events organized to bring creative output and charitable effort to individuals and businesses affected by fire. On November 15th, 2007, Cisco Brothers' South Central Los Angeles furniture warehouse was destroyed by fire. In the months that followed, a collective of independent artists, assembled by ART from the ashes, utilized the raw materials gathered from the fire site to create the one-of-a-kind works of art that will be displayed and auctioned at this inaugural event. Exhibition dates continue at Cisco Home Studio thru November 15th. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Meta - making education the answer.
