Treasure Island Music Festival 2008 Schedule Announced

The Treasure Island Music Festival returns for 2008 on September 20 and 21, 2008. This two-day outdoor festival highlights electronic and dance oriented acts on Saturday Sept 20th with an eclectic bill including Justice, TV on the Radio, Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, CSS, Antibalas, Amon Tobin, Aesop Rock, Mike Relm, and Foals. Sunday Sept 21st features a one- of- a kind lineup of highly regarded emerging and established indie bands including The Raconteurs Tegan & Sara, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, Okkervil River, Tokyo Police Club, The Kills, Dr. Dog, John Vanderslice, The Dodos and Fleet Foxes. The two-day celebration promises a stellar and diverse lineup, Ferris wheel, games, art and more all smack-dab in the middle of the San Francisco Bay on historic Treasure Island.

The celebration will have plenty of interactive activities for the audience including performance artists Big Nazo, free hairstyling from Madu Salon, a 32ft. live painted mural wall (featuring notable Bay Area Artists (Andrew Schoultz, Hillary Pecis, Tara Foley), and double-dutch and hula hoop lessons, just to name a few of the exciting things available in addition to the music for concert-goers.
