Brigitte Perreault ~ PERREAULT EXHIBITIONS ~ and Founder of ‘Humanitarian Art Project’ continues to expand her exhibitions in alternative spaces. Her upcoming Art Event & Silent Auction opens on Saturday, June 16th, from 6-9pm at the CA’ DEL SOLE Restaurant - Private Patio Area, 4100 Cahuenga Blvd, North Hollywood, California, and features artists Saule Piktys, Megan Schoenbachler and John Hawkins.

All three artists reside in Los Angeles, and will be bringing their renowned work to an elegant space.

Saule Piktys is a Lithuanian transplant and a Santa Monica based artist who’s abstract work is inspired by the heart, the head and the hand. Megan Schoenbachler has dedicated her camera to the people and places that aren't always seen. John Hawkins works from his Ventura studio and his years of experimentations led to creating with polyester resin on wood.

Brigitte Perreault has been working on humanitarian causes for over a decade. Her passion for the Arts and for humanitarian causes has led her to launch a unique platform for local artists and for non-profit organizations and their causes. The supported causes include victims of state sponsored torture, orphaned children, human trafficking and refugees. Brigitte often serves as a translator and assists refugees as they resettle in the Los Angeles area, confused and alone, suffering from shattered lives.

As June is the ‘Torture Awareness Month’, and June 26 is the United Nations' (UN) International Day in Support of Victims of Torture ~ to remind people that human torture is not only unacceptable, it is also a crime ~ Perreault Exhibitions will donate 10% of the proceeds from the sale of works to Program for Torture Victims, based in Los Angeles. The Program for Torture Victims rebuilds the lives of torture survivors from over 65 countries who have stood up for freedom, democracy, and human dignity.

Regarding the Humanitarian Art Project, she says “Our mission is to help non-profit organizations receive funding and therefore perpetuate a sense of presence and help for those in need during difficult and/or tragic times, as well as supporting humanitarian causes around the world. With the arts and humanity combined, we can rise up and help.”
