Los Angeles, CA - Morono Kiang Gallery presents Listen With Your Eyes, featuring works by a diverse group of artists from Los Angeles and abroad. Inspired by the role of Jazz in the culture of Los Angeles and beyond, the exhibit is an exploration of the relationship between Jazz, visual artists and their audiences.
The exhibition will run from September 17- November 19, 2011. The opening reception with the artists will be held on Saturday September 17 from 6-9 pm.
Participating artists will include Kendell Carter, Charles Dickson, Clement Hanami, Darren Hostetter, Michael Massenburg, and Dominique Moody from Los Angeles as well as Irish artist Liam O'Callaghan whose participation is made possible with a grant from Culture Ireland’s “year-long celebration of Irish arts in the United States in 2011”.
Listen With Your Eyes will launch A Celebration of Jazz in L.A. in partnership with several Los Angeles based venues and organizations that will include a series of through live jazz performances, visual arts, film and literary events, educational programs and more.
