NewTown’s SKIN! explores the outer millimeter of the human body; epithelia, epidermis, sweat glands, pores, follicles, nerves and subcutaneous fat; its actual and imagined freight of creases, wrinkles, supple luxuriance’s, scars, and aesthetic adornments through installations, image essays, performances and more by many of our region’s most adventuresome artists.

Skinplant, a live interactive performance by Infranatural (Jenna Didier, Oliver Hess and Marcos Lutyens), reveals the human body as landscape through dimensional tattoos - sculpted synthetic cartilage grown via injection just below the epidermis.
