Why you should go to this holiday pottery sale at SRJC?

Santa Rosa Junior College's Ceramics Program offers wheel throwing and handbuilding classes in Spring and Fall semesters. Students in these classes learn to throw functional potteries on the potter's wheel, handbuild figurative, realistic, and abstract ceramic sculptures, mix glazes from recipes in books and from their own recipes, decorate pieces with engobes, slips, and glazes, and fire their pieces in low, medium, and high firing temperatures (cone 05, 5, and 10). Students in these ceramic classes make potteries and sculptures for the holiday pottery sale. A percentage of sale proceeds goes to support the Visiting Artist program at SRJC. I hope you can see and purchase some great ceramic pieces at this holiday pottery sale.
