MULTIPLE ONENESS at:
* POOL ART 2010, NY, NY, March 5, 6, & 7 Paintings and videos by Ken Cro-Ken, soundtrack by oboist, Matt Sullivan.
* Studio@620 St Pete., Fla., March 15, 18, & 19 * 620 First Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Fla. will offer LIVE PERFORMANCES and an OBOE WORKSHOP, with oboists: Matt Sullivan, NYU & Katherine Young, Florida Philharmonic.
Described as an EARTHWORK PAINTER, KEN CRO-KEN follows nature's lead to make paintings in above and below freezing temperatures, high and low altitude, in other words... everywhere; and must strike a balance between the inner and outer self. As a result, Cro-Ken learns about paint and nature simultaneously.
Paint is set in motion to recreate the push-pull forces that shape and mold all things, to reveal satellite and microscopic views of our multiverse. Twenty-first century landscape painter, Ken, must manipulate space, time and matter, (paint being he matter), to reveal places near and far. Cro-Ken states that it goes beyond his imagination but not his ability and efforts to offer abstract paintings waiting to be called realistic, when technology "catches up".
** Working with internationally acclaimed OBOIST, COMPOSER, IMPROVISOR, MATT SULLIVAN, and Director of Double Reeds at NYU, Cro-Ken and Sullivan join forces with the invisble forces to create MULTIPLE ONESESS, TIME RELEASED PERFORMANCES that are projected LIVE; along with pre-recorded videos to promote Cro-Ken's new painings, videos and new gallery booklet- "THE CONDUCT OF PAINT"; and Matt Sullivan's up-coming album, MULTIPLE ONENESS.
