Emerson Dorsch

Brillhart will present new paintings. In her work she seeks to stress light, surface and structure. She is drawn to subjects and processes that encourage arrangement and composition making while retaining simplicity and purpose. The clarity and controlled specificity of the material's value, color, and placement is critical. Brillhart has shown her work around the country and in Europe. Her work has been written about in The McKinsey Quarterly, New American Paintings, Miami Contemporary Artists, and The Financial Times, among others. She has an MFA from the New York Academy of Art and has studied painting at The Art Students League, NY, the University of New Hampshire, and Smith College.
