Regina Jestrow, Deborah Goldman and Nellie Appleby, alumni of the artist in residence program at The Studios of Key West (TSKW) in Key West, Florida, USA. The exhibit features nature inspired installations throughout the Richmond Cottage.
Forget-me-nots is the common name of a genus of plants with clusters of small predominantly blue flowers that veer into pinks and whites whose genus name is Myosotis. Embedded in the name is sentimentality, a wish of a lover not to be forgotten by their sweetheart, whose sweetness matches the beauty of its flowers. The three artists in this exhibition share botanic inspirations for their artworks while veering and refining individually through storytelling, pattern, the domestic, gardening, history and a heartfelt love of the botanic and natural world.
