Artist and Chief Curator of the 6th Street Container Adal Delgado and architect wife and director of the 6th Street Container. Maria Amores, set out to look at the work of women photographer (artists and non-artists alike) just to see the way women in the South Florida area looked at life and to find out how their prespective was different if so, to the rest of the country.
After selecting over thirty works (38 to be exact) Amores and Delgado decided to put together an exhibition during the month of March, to celebrate Women's History Month. " We were very surprised by the diversity of work we found and how many women are using photography to express themselves in South Florida!"
These women, come from all walks of life and they all have one thing in common and that is to express their feelings any way they can. To voice their lives occurrances through a medium most of all are comfortable with.
