Art Basel Miami Beach (ABMB) is the mother of American art fairs (you know this by now). Celebrating a decade this year, ABMB has, from the beginning, been a city-wide event. Every year, a new satellite fair/festival/happening/event is added to the already art-packed weekend and yet it seems Miami has an art tolerance on par with your average Baseler’s liver. ABMB became the destination par excellence in the art world, not only as a way to escape the cold and reach a massive collector base in Miami, but because of the amazingly interconnected nature of the fair weekend that celebrates everything from classical to contemporary, street to gallery. TGN: What do you look forward to during Art Basel, from a Miami insider's perspective?

J&TB: MAM's Crash the Ball, MOCA's Vanity Fair Party, the beach tent at the Soho House, Le Baron, and all the champagne and vernissages.

TGN: What was the most memorable experience for you at last year's edition?

J&TB: Literally running through the convention center on Sunday afternoon right before the convention center closed trying to pick up a last minute deal!
