Creating Organic sculptures starts a unique relationship with Nature. By removing the fallen Organic material from its natural environment, and for a moment harnessing its life energy, I quickly move to the process. Molding, ripping and tearing the plant flesh, after the shape is formed, the embalmment for the afterlife begins. Like a mortician preparing a corpse, the sculpture is enhanced and preserved with chemical and color manipulation achieving a new contemporary existence. By merging together man with nature, a passionate, sexual, sometimes grotesque, tactile and kinetic hybrid emerges demonstrating mans challenge to dominate Nature.
