For several days, the romantic gardens of the museum Papiol Can have new elements, some very artistic instrusos be presented next week at Jardiart. Metaphorically, an exhibition of sculpture and installation. Facilities which exhibits the work of various contemporary artists. Can Papiol The garden becomes the setting for parts interact with the environment, playing with volumes and conceptual metaphors. The aim of the exhibition is to make people think about the power of creativity and the role of artists in society.

The metaphor as a theme

The metaphor becomes the concept under which constructs an exhibition that aims to break the usual styles of artwork to show public. The pieces exhibited want to build a language that is interpreted freely by his receiver. The intention is to make a clearer critical of our society, so that is what visitors do their own interpretations and draw conclusions. Nothing is written, but it is the metaphorical representation of things. Because there are different languages in this case the language of art, and different ways of understanding what is read based on personal experiences and personal opinions.

The use of recycled materials

Most of the pieces chosen for the sample based on the use of recycled materials. These materials were created at the time to perform other functions, and that artists exploit and reuse as a symbol of metaphor to make sense of the works. Therefore, as the recycling of old materials to create a thread that leads us to interpret each object.

Outdoors

The most distinguishing feature of the show is that all the items on display are designed to be observed outdoors. Gardens Can Papiol follow the path taken by other national museums and mainly European, to turn their outdoor spaces into galleries, with the function of giving an added value to everyday objects to turn them into works of art . All works that form part of the event, from the outset, have been designed to provide optimal symbiosis with the surrounding space, the garden, taking long present during more than 3 months it will be their habitat at the expense of inclement weather that may affect these.

Participating artists

The artists participating in this exhibition respond to different disciplines such as painting, sculpture and ceramics, but also architecture, design, photography. They Isidre Roset, Joan Tuset, Toni Masana, Xavier Pascual, Joan Nadal, Purificació López, Joan Calvet, Abel Masana, Josep Maria Pinyol, Francesc Bordas, Joaquim Milà, Camil.la Pérez, Esther Sampietro, Dolors Escoté, Betty Miller i Josep Maria Pujol i Yol Bernadó.

Each of them takes us into sentences the way of understanding art in general, or in some cases doing Direct reference to the piece that will be part of the exhibition. Like any of the exhibits, art in a global sense, it also has different interpretations depending on the look of each of them.

Ardhara, Mounting of the exhibition at the Chapel of St. John, a Gothic church transition, which was   part of the former convent of the Order of the Knights Hospitallers of St.John of Jerusalem,which was founded in 1304 in Vilafranca del Penedès.
