Beers Contemporary is based in London at the core of the vibrant East-Central art scene, between Old Street and The City, with an exhibition programme dedicated to the exploration of relevant issues through progressive, contemporary art. Since our inception in Canada in 2008, and relocation to London in 2010, we have worked with emerging and established artists to explore exciting paths and trends in contemporary art. Today, our exhibitions offer a diverse array of thematic, aesthetic, and political concepts, highlighting an exciting approach to contemporary art that is both progressive and thought-provoking.

Director Kurt Beers has authored 100 Painters of Tomorrow ( was released in September 2014 and published by the UK's leading fine-art publishing house Thames & Hudson. The publication showcases some of the most exciting emerging painters at work today. This unique publication was adjudicated by a number of influential figures in the art world including painter Cecily Brown; Director of London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts, Gregor Muir; Head of Sharjah Biennale, Yuko Hasegawa, author of PHAIDON’s Painting Today, Tony Godfrey; and author of PHAIDON’s Vitamin P (Eds. I & II), Barry Schwabsky, among others.
Other collaborative ventures include the documentary, 'What makes a Masterpiece' with Channel4; collaborations with a number of universities and educational institutions; and a multidisciplinary programme that includes book-launches, special events, and a notable international art fair presence in London, New York, Toronto, Basel, Miami and Zurich. We also present an annual adjudicated open-call exhibition, entitled Contemporary Visions. Through continued collaboration with artists, organizations, and accredited figures in the arts, our goal is to continue to celebrate, share and exhibit contemporary art in London and abroad.
