The RCA’s annual postcard art exhibition and fundraising sale will be located at the College’s Dyson building in Battersea for the first time. All postcards are made and donated by professional artists, designers and illustrators, plus up-and-coming students from the College’s Fine Art programmes. For one day only, the cards will be sold to the public in a huge sale, with every postcard costing just £45 each. The secret is that all postcards are displayed anonymously, so viewers don’t know the identity of the artist until they have made their purchase. This year's event includes work by Paula Rego, Julian Opie, David Bailey, animator Nick Park, fashion designers Sir Paul Smith and Manolo Blahnik. Potential collectors will be able to view all the postcards in person or on-line from 14 March. Proceeds from the sale goes to the Fine Art Student Award Fund, helping emerging artists at a formative stage in their careers.
Open 14-22 March, 11am–6pm daily, Thursday 21 March until 9pm.
Sale day – Saturday 23 March, 8am–6pm. Free admission.
