PANTA RHEI by Keith Tyson will feature 16 new paintings created over the last three years. The most striking feature of Tyson’s new body of work is his technique of painting over an existing work or on a black canvas, and then scrape paint over the surface. The scraped layer is then used as a basis for a second image, materializing Tyson’s idea of “complex surfaces”.
PANTA RHEI is inspired by poetry, music and Keith Tyson’s personal references.
Keith Tyson is one of the most prominent contemporary English artists, the 18th recipient of the prestigious Turner Prize. Tyson works in a variety of media, including painting, drawing and sculpture.
