Love Support Machine is a series of works on paper by JILL RICHARDS The drawings act as a cathartic release - literally a ‘life saver’. or ongoing love support machine.

Each work features one loved person in the artist's life who is no longer with her. Discovering evidence of a love passed, or passed away, and acknowledging the emotions they presented led to the creation of art as homage.

The loss of a loved one, the culmination of a friendship, the end of a love affair all leave behind fragments. More vivid than a photograph, the drawings tell the story of a journey travelled. Memories flood back through the remnants of everyday life.
