Frederic Edwin Church (1826–1900) is one of the greatest American painters of the landscape oil sketch.

Join curator Christopher Riopelle as he explores the significance of Church's works, currently on display in the exhibition Through American Eyes: Frederic Church and the Landscape Oil Sketch , and how they relate to the National Gallery.
