> DESCRIPTION

Chilean born Alfredo Jaar is an internationally celebrated artist, architect, and filmmaker who lives in New York. He is mostly known as an installation artist, often incorporating photography and covering socio-political issues and war - the best known perhaps being the 6-year long The Rwanda Project about the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

In this talk, It is Difficult, he discusses how he generates debate through public intervention.

Presented by Iniva in association with A.R.I.A., this event is part of Iniva's Significant Voices series where guest speakers from the creative and cultural world generate space for new debates. Earlier talks in the series have included Emory Douglas and Yinka Shonibare.
