International photographers Jonathan Anderson and Edwin Low talk about their approach to portraiture and the Road to 2012 project.

For Road to 2012 Anderson & Low were commissioned to depict elite athletes and key support staff for the UK’s most successful sports.

During a 22 year collaboration Anderson & Low have created a unique body of work. Highly crafted photographic portraits explore the extraordinary physical endurance and emotional stamina of elite athletes.

Painting and sculpture provide the foundation for their investigations across a range of subjects. Virtuoso lighting and painstaking attention to the final print are the hall marks of all their work.
