> DESCRIPTION

Simon Raven has been awarded the 2012 Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary. Raven engages with ideas around performance, futility and achievement and is developing a series of new works both in the Artists’ Studio and off-site. These will address the history of Camden Arts Centre’s previous incarnation as a public library, the music culture of Camden Town and the proximity of the Artists’ Studio to the Freud Museum on Maresfield Gardens.

As part of an ongoing project within the residency Raven will be creating a psychoanalytical space within the Artists’ Studio where it’s OK to be boring, in which visitors are invited to share a boring story told to camera. The Studio will be open between 2.00 - 4.00pm daily.
