PRESS RELEASE
" It is a project designed for this precise moment and in this precise place "
“ To live in the noble arts that RESCHEDULE the world "
The exhibition takes as starting point a place destined to offer a different perspective, different from the spectator in each of the different subjects presented by the artists.
EVI Photopoulos affirms constantly in her proposals the wounds caused by the human being to the Nature and she places a call to reflection and to the urgent change, in the environmental protection.
Veronica Villarino is dominating at an accelerate pace. Her works tackles traditional subjects through Woman’s life, female figure, their poses, their feelings, their addictions and measures. It is a variation of the same subject, where she gets in the technique and colors, which normally uses.
In the presentation of her works Julia Ji Sook Rho moves to nature, to the air, to dreams, to feelings, to the truth of her deep down. The perception of the meeting with herself, escaping of the hustle of the world, of the worldly coldness, lived and already evolved centering in herself, where the sea, the wind, wraps it to undress across her works.
EVI PHOTOPOULOS' S ART REVIEW
Evi was born in Greece, possesses an enormous sense of responsibility and universal feeling.
Moved by a feeling of circumstantial research, She undertook the harvest of flowers, plants and grasses that nobody wanted to have. It is there, where she begins to inspect it meticulously to come to the thought and the attitude of life that today represents her faithfully.
“The road up and the road down is one and the same” said Heraclitus of Ephesus.
The oracle with its elliptical phrases, textures and mystical fates, it forces to think precisely about the poetics of change and harmony of the opposites ones.
It is so Evi, links a set of forms to describe silhouettes of trees, trees that independent some of each others, they seem to transmit us diverse forms, alarming messages, worrying messages and significant meanings.
Every artwork presented in these paintings is a formation of every figure - tree, fallen due in devastating fire happened in Greece, in which year after year these terrible events occur in other countries.
To achieve her plastic aim, Evi by means of a tone of color lands ashes, guided by the white line, implements the process of intense pain of every life. She whispers a message of awakening " to the change", to the universal care, “The land is of all, and we are destroying it".
The key, seemingly explicit before the eyes of the spectator, will arouse a showy touch of vibration where the conscience of the one who observes them, also is felt. The support that Evi uses is aluminium, which causes a coldness simultaneously that strictness and fortress.
The messages of each of these works leave us a sensation of not only having a closed end but being done by the intuitions of the collective unconscious.
The universal nature wakes up each of us, and forces us to think precisely about the poetics of change and harmony of the senses and in turn in a reflection brings over of the care and protection of the environment, where EVI PHOTOPOULOS presents us in this exhibition entitled "Upcoming Art Meetings for this Summer ", her works most convincing and of a deep elaboration.
