Director and producer of theatre, opera and film. Founding member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1961, Hall served as artistic director until 1968. From 1973 to 1988 he was director of the National Theatre and later set up the Peter Hall Company, producing many West End and Broadway successes. He has directed over two hundred productions, including the world debut in English of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, and the premieres of numerous Harold Pinter plays. As part of the celebrations for his eightieth birthday, Hall is returning to the National Theatre to direct Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. The play will star his daughter, the actress Rebecca Hall and will run from January to March 2011.

Born in London, Cannon grew up in California before returning to the UK where he trained at the Pimlico Arts and Media College. Cannon's work has appeared in several magazines and advertising campaigns. He was named Features Photographer of the Year (Picture Editors' Awards) in 2002 and in 2005 (British Press Awards).
