CINEAST

East London's Film Salon presents new works by London Filmmakers Christine Molloy and Joe Lawler on Thursday 4th November as part of our First Thursday's programme in association with Time Out.

Thursday 4th November 2010, 7-9pm

CINEAST is proud to present this exclusive preview screening of Molloy and Lawlor's 'Civic Life' series which will tour selected UK cinemas following its premiere at Bristol's Brief Encounters Film Festival.

CIVIC LIFE

Since July 2003 Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor have worked on a unique and richly cinematic series of films made in negotiation with local residents and community groups. Foregrounding the relationship these communities have to the environments in which they live and work, all the CIVIC LIFE films were filmed on 35mm cinemascope making extensive use of the long take.
