10 VYNER ST is pleased to announce details of our summer exhibition, featuring work by Venezuelan born painters Rodolfo Villaplana and Ivan Romero. Rodolfo and Ivan possess a flair for the dramatic, reinterpreting the world they see into impressions of life, colour and familiarity. Characteristically Latin in temperament, their work transports us to a place of optimism, creating equilibrium in observation, memory and interpretation, with a confidence that defines Contemporary Venezuelan Art.

Rodolfo Villaplana spends his time between Tuscany and Paris. Inspired by his European tour, cities such as Berlin are significant influences in his work. Reminiscent of a contemporary social tableau  Villaplana’s work centres on Nightlife in all its guises.

Ivan Romero’s paintings are a study of landscape and the abstract world of colour and light…Romero’s work is a meditation, flamboyantly expressed with powerful gestures of applied colours that create a rhythm of sound and energy.
