This was an exciting and brilliant opportunity to see some original and innovative art, the exhibition shows a variety of art works by a selection of artists from Warwickshire and Stratford, Paintings, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics,cartoons and an installtion by Escape artists - not from prison!, but a community art group called Escape from stratford see: http://escapeworkshop.co.uk/escapegroup.html. Feedback so far has described the show as spiritually uplifting - wonderful - delightful.   [more]

This exhibition is simply brilliant and I was more touched by this exceptionally human art than I was by most of the pieces I saw at the last Documenta (Juan Davila excluded). One of the "offenders" (I would prefer to use the term people) said that it was shame she had to be imprisoned to discover art. Too true! In the United States the government spends more money on incarcerating people than on educating them - I hope this doesn't become the case in the UK. In this society, art and creativity are...
