Description
This piece is of a classic retro toy "peddle car" used to represent childhoods innocence and the dreams of childhood, freedom and how those dreams eventually get sold...
In my work I like to explore the relationship between words and images, using famous quotes, song lyrics or advertising copy along with pop culture or vintage graphic elements of people, places or things. The images and words I use in my work have meaning and history of their own— though through my work I try and give them new meaning and tone or force them to narrate a story that removes them from what they may normally be associated with, giving these images and words a sort of alter ego.
