ArtSlant maintains a catalogue of venues, artists and art professionals in each ArtSlant city.
A rich resource for the artist, the collector, the curator and the art lover.
Gallery Revisited began in 2003 in Chinatown Los Angeles on the 3rd floor of a concrete space with no working elevator, a view of the new Gold-Line at eye level and the twin tower jail in the distance.
In 2006 GR moved to Silver Lake to further the promise for content driven accessible art in an every-day landscape. The new location was shared by a jewelry store and flanked by vintage furniture boutiques, a latino mini market, a high end bistro and a taco place.
Sadly, (we're getting over it now each day) but not regretably, Gallery Revisited had to close its doors in June 2008. We now exist online as a portfolio and information source.
Gallery Revisited is conceived, owned, directed, publicized and curated by Leora Lutz.
Before we closed the brick and mortar location we implemented this:
Internal Environments 2008: Project Forefront and Ongoing Ongoing new work by artists in the forefront.
In keeping with our premise of Content Driven Accessible Art, 12 dedicated studio artists will engage audiences all at the same time, throughout the ongoing course of the gallery program in the Main Gallery.
Gallery Revisited exhibits works of multi-discipline in order to facilitate curatorial freedom and audience diversity while each artist's individual voice is clearly heard.
The Salon, Modular Unit and Shop Art has/may house additional work by these noted artists as well as work by artists past and/or future.
INTRODUCING: Project Journalism Revisited
PJR is an art project in the form of writing. It will conceptually take on the guise of art reviews, and take into consideration editorial relevance to galleries and artists in the context of the art media as we know it. It will give art audiences and commentators an opportunity to read completely unedited, candid and inside editorial essays on Gallery Revisited and its current artists being shown in the Main Gallery. Stacy Elaine Dacheux is the invited author for the PJR essays. Please note that Miss Dacheux is in no way monetarily compensated to participate in this project. Gallery Revisited has and will continue to write Press Releases, gallery website content and blogs.
