BEATROCK basically started up in 2003. To be honest, we had no idea BEATROCK would get to where we are today with our loyal family of supporters and our newly opened shop/gallery in beautiful Long Beach, California.


We started out with one shirt. the "Manong Philip" shirt. We just wanted to honor him with the shirt. being ilocano (f.b.i. baby) I felt a super strong connection with his story because both of my grandfathers were also part of the manong generation. They worked the fields in Hawaii and in California.

We got really good feedback and sold out of that first batch of shirts real quick. people started asking for more shirt designs and since then, we've been in business.
