The ReCut Project was based on Yoko Ono's instructions for the Cut Piece (1964-66).  Conceived and directed by Los Angeles based media artist Ming-Yuen S. Ma for the exhibition Draw a Line and Follow It, the ReCut Project featured weekly performances at LACE, with interpretations of Ono's text by Justin Chin, Toxic Titties, Lun*na Menoh, Osuna, Amitis Motevalli, Jocelyn Matsuo, and Catherine Lord.  The video documents these performances through live footage and interview with the artists.

Jean Paul Yamamoto is based on combination of Lun*na Menoh 's art costumes and her love for punk rock, dance, showbiz glitter and Japanese Enka.  In this new adventure, Lun*na took up the Fender Electric Guitar as an expression of pure sensuality.  With the addition of ex-Devo Alan Myers on Drums and Shin Kawasaki on additional electric guitar, Jean Paul Yamamoto can go from aching Japanese Enka to tough-girl rock.  The addition of the J-Girls, Moeko and Ayako, brings a sassy Japanese version of the Supremes on a mean streak to the mix.  Jean Paul Yamamoto show takes no prisoners.  Those left alive must bow down to their desires and dance to the wicked beat of Jean Paul Yamamoto! http://myspace.com/jeanpaulyamamoto
