From the AFI Fest Film Guide:
1000 JOURNALS takes a look at the social/art project initiated by a San Francisco Artist, who calls himself Someguy. Someguy sent one thousand journals out into the world, which are passed from hand to hand, and are getting filled with stories, pictures, collages… In 2003, one of the 1000, Journal 526, came back. Where are the other 999?

The film is screening in the International Documentary Competition.
