ARENA 1 is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition Silence and Echo with a reception for the artists on November 3 from 6 – 9 pm. This event with internationally renowned artists Dario Escobar, Bia Gayotto, Haruko Tanaka and Sandra Tucci is part of the Santa Monica Art Studios 3rd Anniversary celebrations.

Related by an awareness of visual and poetic considerations including repetition, imaginary, rhythms, strokes, reorganization, appropriation, assemblage the works in the exhibition include a series of 5 large drawings “Untitled” (2006) and the sculpture “Serpentario” (2005) by Dario Escobar; Bia Gayotto’s photographic series “The Towers Apartments” (2003), Haruko Tanaka, two videos: "California Telephone" (2003) and “The word is”, and Sandra Tucci a site specific mixed media installation titled “Frame”.
