Arthur Tress is an accomplished photographer with a long exhibition history and several monographs of his work. In “Paintball Nation” Tress juxtaposes alternating black & white and color images of paintball practitioners and paintball locales. This imagery of a specific California youth culture raises disturbing questions about militarization and the projection of violent fantasy.
