Continuing its development of daring new forms of performance,
Highways presents the premiere of this sexually adventurous,
emotionally violent expressionist drama that reframes the life and work
of notorious Austrian painter Egon Schiele in a post-industrial collage of aggressive physicality,
punk rock fashion, and darkly ambient sonic textures. Employing a
fractured, montage like style, this new interdisciplinary work pushes
beyond the rigid definitions of theater, performance, sound, and cinema
to deconstruct a unique, hybrid world.
