> DESCRIPTION

Propagation Artist Meeson Pae Yang’s mixed media work suggests the mysterious functions of biosynthetic hybrids, reflecting systems within our body, nature, and imagination. The intersections and parallels of objects in her work imply unfolding metaphors as well imagery which is intended to be dissected and explored. Yang’s process is developed through the synthesis of ideas in science and technology,alluding to biological functions and cycles. Yang's large scale sculptures, videos, and installations are a delicate combination of plastics, metals, fluids, and electrical components which explore themes of biological transformation, development, and growth.
