Closing for ‘NATURE’S CALLING’/Miracle Mile Art Walk
POLLUTION. PESTICIDES. GMO’S….all are wreaking havoc on the environment.
We have become so removed from the very thing that sustains us …Nature. Nature feeds our bodies and its innate beauty nourishes our soul.
Nature is screaming for help. Genetically modified seeds are laced with disease-resistant chemicals that may be toxic to the environment at large. This upsets the balance of nature in ways we can't yet comprehend.
There are things you can do to bring back the natural balance:
Plant an organic garden or assist a friend that has one.
Support organic farming.
Last but not least come to see ‘Nature’s Calling’ at The Loft at Liz’s and take home a plant or seeds from Liz’s garden.
Eleven artists explore the beauty and wonder of nature. Italian artist Luigia Martelloni brings The Loft to life with her life-size tree installation. Juan Rosenfeldt, originally from Holland, creates assemblage art that tells a poetic story using nature as its medium. Craig Cartwright's paintings unquestionably link the birth of man to nature. The botanical drawings of Renée Fox capture the intricate beauty of nature. The man-like garden creatures represented in the paintings of Pamela Mower-Conner will either scare you or protect you. The goddesses in Michael Pukac’s paintings remind us of the mysticism in nature. Russian artist Lark Pilinsky’s whimsical figures of men and women evoke “love in the garden”. Introducing Suzanne Vasaeli’s minimalist inspired jewelry and wall art made of metal, stone and wood. Welcoming back fiber artist Cielo Pessione, and jewelry designer Monique Birault. French artist Alexandra Pastorino incorporates her relief paintings of the organic world as you enter into the realm of nature calling.
Culinary fare inspired by 'Nature's Calling' will be provided by chef Jared Paul of JaredFood (firstname.lastname@example.org / 323-219-3263).
