Jail is pleased to present Show, a gathering of assembled spirits curated by Heather Cantrell.

Show is a collection of Los Angeles and New York based artists who have a variety of practices including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, performance and installation.  Majority of these artists work within multiple mediums and are not strictly working within one practice.  “Show” offers, exhibits, and produces such things for scrutiny and pleasure.  A “Show” can also indicate one’s feelings by one’s behavior such as “show mercy on me”.  We can think of an art exhibition as a dog show… where the spectacle is shown as public entertainment or a competition.  In this case the artists demonstrates an act of showing what they do best, making art.
