The Outfest Legacy Project Screening Series presents
WOMEN OF VISION:18 HISTORIES IN FEMINIST FILM & VIDEO
(1998, United States, Alexandra Juhasz)

The Legacy Project for LGBT Film Preservation is a collaboration between Outfest and the UCLA Film & Television Archive to preserve and restore LGBT film and video. The UCLA Film & Television Archive will screen prints bimonthly from this valuable and unique collection.

This documentary illustrates the history of feminist filmmaking from its beginnings in the 1950s through its apex in the 1970s and on to the 1990s, as told by many of the pioneering artists. This evening’s program will include in-person appearances by some of the filmmakers who appear in the video and a screening of some of the unedited oral history interviews recorded for the documentary.

Special guests Alexandra Juhasz, Susan Mogul, Eve Oishi, Constance Penley, and Victoria Vesna.
