> DESCRIPTION
On June 7, 2009, from 1 to 4 p.m., the CLARE Foundation, a nonprofit providing alcohol and drug recovery services, presents the third annual ART for CLARE at Bergamot Station. This fun-filled event features a silent auction (listed above) and a separate group art sale from contemporary local artists, such as Irina Alimanestianu, Fumiko Amano, Richard Amend, Nancy Baker-Cahill, Ann Balter, Meredith Baxter, Quinton Bemiller, Barbara Blatt, Linde Caughey, Jenniffer Celio, Jean Edelstein, Francine Fanali, Jordan Gaunce, actor Anthony Hopkins, Susan Holcomb, Rebecca Hamm, Tommy Hollenstein, Elana Kundell, Larry Lytle, Mery Lynne McCorkle, Max Miceli, Jeff Miller, Bobbie Moline-Kramer, Doug Murphy, Gwen Samuels, Barbara Schwan, Todd Squires, Gina Stepaniuk, Ryan Villiers, Art Weeks, Trine Wejp-Olsen, Leslie Yagar.
Bergamot Station's Courtyard will be transformed into a street scene with food stalls providing "gourmet recession food" donated by the popular Joe's Restaurant, Chaya Venice, El Cholo, Global Cuisine by Gary Arabia, Urth Café, Le Chef Bakery, All That is Good Catering by Mary Gilmer, and other popular restaurants.
ART for CLARE's chance drawing will feature the multi-award winning European trioBike. Other enticing prizes include a beach cruiser, jewelry from King Baby Studio, tickets from Southwest Airlines, groceries from Whole Foods Market and certificates to exclusive local restaurants.
Renowned contemporary artists are uniting with the CLARE Foundation to ensure that art, compassion, and recovery continue. Proceeds from the event will benefit CLARE's drug and alcohol programs, providing compassionate treatment and recovery services for alcoholism and substance abuse to individuals, families, and the community. CLARE Foundation has been serving the community since 1965.
