"PUPPETS ON THE WALL" is an exhibition presented as part of the Arroyo Arts Collective's PUPPETS, PUPPETS, PUPPETS! a festival of traditional and experimental puppet shows and related events in Highland Park, Eagle Rock and Cypress Park from May 30 to June 28, 2007.

ARTISTS' RECEPTION for "Puppets on the Wall" is Saturday, June 9, 7:00 pm -10:00 p.m.  The reception   includes a show of artist-made puppets and viewing of a moving puppet film "Guernica" by Poli Marichal, that features 3-D puppets of the characters in Picasso's painting and and 4 wry videos by April Totten and Donnie Stroud, that comment on the absurdity of modern urban life.  Expect a broad variety of puppet styles as artists push the puppet envelope!
