is an international competition, held under the auspices of the
Society for Design Administration. Five-person teams of architects,
designers, engineers, artists and/or students compete by designing
and building huge sculptures made from canned foods. The cans of
food are then donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
The Art Alliance of the
Riverside Art Museum is happy to host the Canstruction®
exhibit. The sculptures will be on display at the Riverside Art
Museum from April 27, 2007 until May 24, 2007.
As an entrance “fee”,
the Art Alliance suggests that guests bring a can of food with them
when they come to see the show!
