> DESCRIPTION

The USC Hillel Art Gallery is pleased to announce its third exhibit of the 2008-2009 season entitled Light & Color: Southern Californian Artists from Israel, featuring the work of Bibi Davidson, Orna Livni, Sharon Ben-Tal and Rhea Carmi.

The works of these four artists exemplify a style unique to Israeli artists living outside of their homeland. The similarity in landscape and environment makes Southern California a desirable location for Israelis to relocate to. Although the four artists are painting in stylistically diverse ways, their work similarly focuses on issues related to light and color.

A special performance by world-renowned Israeli violinist, Lior Kaminetsky will occur at 5pm. Following the performance will be remarks by co-curators Sara Cannon and Susie Gesundheit.

For further information, please contact, Daniella Gold, USC Hillel Art Gallery Director, at (213) 747-9135 ex.14.
