> DESCRIPTION
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publishing of On the Origin of Species, Michele Guieu puts together a show that celebrates our origins and biodiversity and evokes the years she spent in Africa and the trips she took to the Saharan desert with her father geologist and her mother biologist, at the time Lucy was found. The show is an installation, presenting a mural and a a large tag cloud, a series of drawings, photos from the Saharan desert, ancient artifacts, and selected short videos. A Cora player will play music from West Africa at the opening reception, December 12.
