University of California, Irvine is pleased to announce Betamax, an exhibition by the second year MFA candidates whose work shares a nuanced and expanded approach to criticality and conceptualism.
An abstracted abstract of ideas presented:
An array of meaningless tasks that / explore human attachment in / invented and artificial landscapes / politicizing moments saturated by duality within / a dystopic Canadian history resulting in / alienation and disconnectedness from / the iconic southern Californian suburban where / there is public and private queer cohabitation amidst / institutions, ideas, and reality resulting / in the autonomy of 'place.'
