> DESCRIPTION

In less time than you can say "biennial," a handful of artists who met where they work at a local art institution formed S.A.S.S.--short for "Secret Art Show Society." They have since discretely wreaked havoc there with happenings, guerrilla events and unexpected art-fun held in conference rooms, break rooms, cubicles and other non-art venues.  In their first "official" exhibition, S.A.S.S.quatch!, S.A.S.S. riffs on the traditional myth of the hairy beast, their own version of an urban lady-squatch who embodies her L.A. stomping grounds through an over-the-top, interactive, arty-crafty extravaganza.
